History of CYPN

The Rotaract Club of Casper: Young Professionals Network was founded in November 2006 by young professionals for young professionals. The Casper Rotary Club and the Five Trails Rotary Club of Casper helped establish the CYPN. CYPN was founded to help satisfy the needs for networking, professional development and community service for young professionals within the community. CYPN also helps enrich Casper and its economy by attracting and retaining young members to the community.

As one of Rotary’s most significant and fastest-growing service programs, with more than 7,000 clubs in approximately 163 countries and geographical areas, Rotaract has become a worldwide phenomenon.

All Rotaract efforts begin at the local, grassroots level, with members addressing their communities’ physical and social needs while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service.

Membership Process

The Rotaract Club of Casper: Young Professionals Network (CYPN) takes membership seriously, which is why every member is required to have a current member in good standing act as their sponsor and must formally apply to become a member. Members must be people of good standing in the community, as it is expected that membership will contribute to the betterment of the Casper community and the professional development of others. CYPN regards quality of members to be more important than the number of members.

The following is the process for becoming a member:
  • Attend two regularly scheduled meetings.
There are usually four each month (Board, Professional Development, Social Networking, and scheduled Social Activity)
  • Ask Questions
  • Complete formal application and submit along with your initiation fee to any Board Member
  • Be approved by the Board of Directors
  • Pay membership dues
  • Be pinned
